Mortgage Planner By Eleanor Thorne There's an entire county in the Triangle that qualifies for 100% mortgage financing... wanna guess? Johnston County! Wake, Durham, Orange, all have portions that qualify for USDA Home Loan financing through Rural Development, however ALL of Johnston County Qualifies. We recently spoke with a guy who bought a manufactured home and put it on a rented lot about 6 years ago. He's been writing off his mortgage interest on the trailer - and now he wants to rent the trailer and buy a "real" home in Johnston County. He'd been told by several lenders he couldn't do it - but guess what? WE CAN DO THAT! We have to count the whole debt against him, lot, insurance, taxes... and we can count 75% of the income... but he got a house!
